Richard is the Registrar at Bede’s Senior School, East Sussex, where he has worked for twenty years. For seven years he was a Day House Master and for two of those, the Senior House Master. These roles in particular gave Richard the experience of helping and guiding his pupils through bereavement and he feels passionately about the need for greater support for young people in this area. Pastoral care is an important part of every teacher’s role, but is also an area which perhaps does not get the necessary resources it requires. Project Eileen is perfect for this.
